Job description

  • The selected candidates will work on the DST-sponsored research project, "Computational Modelling of Neural Mechanisms Correlating Cognitive Dysfunctions in Movement Disorders for Improved Diagnosis and Therapy."

  • The project aims to develop computational models and AI-driven approaches to understand the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive impairments in movement disorders and support the development of improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Key Responsible

  • Analyze multimodal neuroscience datasets, including neuroimaging, electrophysiological, and behavioral data.

  • Design and evaluate machine learning and deep learning algorithms for disease modelling and prediction.

  • Contribute to the development of AI-enabled tools for diagnosis and therapeutic decision support.

  • Assist in preparing technical reports, research publications, and project documentation.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers and participate in project meetings and dissemination activities.

  • This position offers an excellent opportunity to work at the interface of computational neuroscience, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and translational neuroscience, contributing to cutting-edge research with potential clinical impact.

Expected Skills:

  • Experience in computational neuroscience, neural modelling, machine learning, deep learning, spiking neural networks, biomedical signal processing, or neuroimaging.

  • Able to perform Parameter optimisation of spiking neuron model Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB.
