Agaazz Navato 2025, the Freshers’ Day of Amrita College of Nursing, was held on 31 October 2025 at the Amriteshwari Auditorium organized by batch 3. The event provided a platform for first-year students to showcase talent, creativity, and originality, and fostered camaraderie among students and faculty. Objectives

  • To extend a warm welcome to the new batch (Batch 4) into the nursing fraternity.
  • To encourage participation, creativity, and healthy competition.
  • To promote teamwork, communication, and leadership among students.

Programme Overview

  • The programme began at 10:20 a.m. with a welcome address by Mr. Chris Domnic, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting, invoking blessings for knowledge, wisdom, and success.
  • Mr. and Ms. Fresher – Round 1 commenced, anchored by Ms. A. S. Archana and Mr.  Chris Domnic. Judges: Dr. Lekha Viswanath, Ms. Kamini Chauhan, Ms. Mili  Bhattacharya, and Ms. Priyanka Singh. Contestants 1–26 completed the first segment within 10–15 minutes.
  • Cultural performances opened with a team led by Ms. Flavia, followed by a classical dance by Ms. Sana and team
  • Subsequent Round 1 segments featured contestants: 27–49; 50–75 and 76–100 (combined); 101–125 and 126–150. Interspersed cultural items included
  • A song by Mr. Sreyas Krishna. 
  • Dance performances by Ms. Sanjana and team; Ms. Nandana and team; Ms. Akshay and Team
  • Lunch break was observed from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by attendance. The final Round 1 segment covered contestants 151–250.
  • Post-lunch, Batch 4 presented a vibrant dance led by Ms. Ganga and team.

Mr. and Ms. Fresher Competition

  • Round 2 (Talent Round) featured 50 shortlisted participants showcasing singing, dancing, Kalaripayattu, and recitation. Cultural interludes included a song by Pranav Pratap (Batch 2) and a high-energy dance by Harinadh and team, followed by a performance by Alka and team.
  • Round 2 Sections:
    • Section 1 (chess numbers): 3, 9, 12, 16, 20, 23, 26, 28, 31, 38, 49, 54, 57, 66, 76, 78, 86, 87, 90, 92, 104, 111, 114, 116, 117, 120. 
    • Section 2 (chess numbers): 122, 128, 135, 141, 155, 157, 158, 169, 172, 177, 187, 190, 196, 198, 203, 211, 212, 216, 220, 224, 225, 234, 236, 241.
  • Additional cultural items: a group dance by Ms. Rosemariya and team, and a captivating performance by Christy and team.
  • Round 3 featured the top finalists (chess numbers: 16, 23, 111, 114, 128, 141, 158, 203, 216).
  • Round 4 (Interaction Round) shortlisted four contestants (111, 216, 23, 114). Judges: Dr. Lekha Viswanath, Ms. Rohini, and Mr. Dileep. The interactive Q&A assessed presence of mind, confidence, and overall personality.

Results and Felicitation

  • Mr. Fresher: Chess No. 111 – Mr. Harinath M.
  • Ms. Fresher: Ms. Siyona Eapen.
  • The winners were crowned, delivered brief stage performances, and completed a ramp walk.

Cultural Performances

  • Notable performances across the day included singing, classical and contemporary dances, and creative group items by teams led by Ms. Flavia, Ms. Sana, Ms. Sanjana, Ms. Nandana, Ms. Ganga, Mr. Akshay, Mr. Harinadh, Ms. Alka, Ms. Rosemariya, and Mr. Christy, which were received with enthusiasm and appreciation.

Logistics and Closing

  • Gifts (pocket article kits) were distributed to all 250 new students by the Principal and the Guest of Honour sponsored by batch 3.
  • The Principal, Dr. Lekha Viswanath, congratulated all committee in-charges on stage for the programme’s punctuality and coordination, noting it as one of the most timely events conducted at the college.
  • A 15-minute open dance session for students and faculty celebrated unity and joy, followed by batch photographs.
  • The formal programme concluded around 6:30 p.m. Students were dismissed by 7:45 p.m.
