Aiming to raise awareness among students about the growing employment opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus, organized a one-day workshop at Amrita Hospital. The event was coordinated by Dr. P.G. Nair.
The workshop was chaired by Dr. Prem Nair, Group Medical Director, Amrita Hospitals, India, and Dr. Gireesh Kumar K P, Principal of Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi, also participated.
Dr. Lakshmi J, an alumna with an MD in Pharmacology from Amrita, who currently works as a Medical Science Liaison in the cardiovascular division at Bristol-Myers Squibb, a leading American biopharmaceutical company, delivered the keynote address. She highlighted the increasing career opportunities not only within the healthcare sector but also in related industries. Dr. Lakshmi emphasized that such opportunities are rapidly growing both within India and internationally.
A significant highlight of the event was the release of the 9th edition of the Alumni Magazine by Dr. Prem Nair. This edition showcases notable alumni achievements and reflects the growing influence and contributions of Amrita’s graduates in the healthcare and pharmaceutical fields.
