Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Signs MoU with Schneider Electric to Advance Sustainability-Focused Research

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has entered into a strategic partnership with Schneider Electric Ltd. through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 3 December 2025 at Schneider Electric’s facility in Bengaluru. The collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening industry–academia engagement in the areas of sustainability, energy management, and advanced technologies.

The MoU is centered on facilitating internship opportunities for PhD scholars from India and Africa, as well as MTech students, enabling them to gain valuable industry exposure and hands-on research experience. Through this initiative, students will have the opportunity to work closely with Schneider Electric, recognized as the World’s Most Sustainable Corporation 2025, on real-world challenges and innovative solutions.
This partnership aims to nurture a new generation of professionals equipped with the skills and knowledge required to address global sustainability challenges. By bridging academic research with industry expertise, the collaboration is expected to foster impactful innovation and contribute to building a smarter and greener future.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from both institutions. From Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Dr. Manoj P., Dean of Amrita School of Business, Bengaluru campus and Campus Director, and Mr. Renjith Mohan, Program Manager at Amrita School for Sustainable Futures, were present. Schneider Electric was represented by Mr. Albert Fuchet, Access to Energy Global Business Vice President; Mr. Abhimanyu Sahu, Director; and Mr. Vivek Sonaje, Deputy General Manager.

This collaboration reflects Amrita’s continued commitment to fostering global partnerships that enhance student learning, promote research excellence, and contribute to sustainable development.
