The best practices of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus were showcased at the IIC Regional Meet 2025 held at PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore, on 25 November 2025. The best practices showcased included grace marks for success in hackathons & innovation challenges, and the Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) Sarthi Coimbatore cluster. AMRITA is the lead nodal agency of this ATL Sarthi community outreach program, which involves the adoption and handholding of 67 schools with ATLs in Coimbatore district, as well as organising hackathons, project exhibitions, training programs, workshops, teacher training programs, guidance for compliance, and school visits for their benefit. 1600+ faculty, innovators, startups, and students from 391 universities and colleges in South India attended the regional meet organised by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and virtually inaugurated by Dr. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India. The IIC regional meet was simultaneously held at 8 locations pan-India. Dr. Raghab P. Dash, Advisor-1, AICTE, was the chief guest at the Coimbatore regional meet. Various highlights of the meet included innovation and poster displays, pitching sessions, Udyami Bazaar, and training sessions and master classes for faculty and student innovation ambassadors. Dr. Prashant R. Nair, President-IIC @AMRITA, showcased the best practices in a best practices knowledge exchange session, and Prof. Ramaguru Radhakrishnan, Convener-IIC, and Ms. Tejhashwini CB, Student Council member-IIC of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus, showcased the best practices in the poster presentation session of the IIC regional meet 2025.
