Four-Day Faculty Development Program on CFD, Aerodynamics & DRDO Technologies Held by Mechanical Engineering Department

Four-Day Faculty Development Program on CFD, Aerodynamics & DRDO Technologies organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering from January 28 – 31, 2026.

Taem privileged to organize a Four-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Aerodynamics, and DRDO Technologies, conducted by Dr. Krishnamurthy Rajah, Retd. Scientist ‘H’, Outstanding Scientist (OS), Group Director – DESIGN, DRDL, Hyderabad, and Consultant, DRDL.

The FDP offered a rare and enriching blend of core fundamentals, advanced aerospace applications, and strategic insights into DRDO’s technology ecosystem, making it an invaluable learning experience for faculty members.

Key themes covered during the FDP included:

  • Principles of CFD and its application in aerospace vehicle design
  • Aerodynamic technologies for modern aerospace systems
  • Advanced CFD methodologies with real-world aerospace case studies
  • Emerging technologies driving the DRDO Missile Complex
  • DRDO research domains and project channels
  • Career pathways and opportunities to become a Scientist in DRDO

Dr. Rajah’s sessions stood out for their depth, clarity, and real-world relevance—beautifully connecting theory with defense and aerospace applications, while also offering practical guidance on research directions, technology development, and career growth within DRDO.

This FDP marks a meaningful step toward strengthening academia–defense–research collaboration.
