Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, ranked among the top 10 universities in India in the NIRF 2023, conferred degrees upon a total of 176 students during its 2023 convocation ceremony at their Chennai Campus. The majority, 104 in number, were graduated from the B.Tech., Computer Science & Engineering stream, followed by B.Tech., Electronics and Communication, Mechanical and Electrical & Electronics programs.

The convocation ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Chief Guest Professor B. S. Murthy Director, IIT Hyderabad; along with Guest of Honour Dr. Hanumanth Rao, Director General, SAMEER (R&D of MeitY, Govt. of India).

Amma, Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham shared insightful words during a virtual address, emphasizing the transformational power of patience and experience in one’s journey. Poojya Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri, Member of the Board of Management, extended gratitude to the graduates and encouraged them to embrace uncertainty as they embark on their new chapter.

In addition, Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean of the School of Engineering, expressed pride in the inaugural batch of the Chennai campus, highlighting their role as pioneers.

Around 92% of eligible students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai, secured placements this year. The graduating class of 2023 reported an average annual salary of 17.75 LPA, with the highest salary reaching 36 LPA.

In their traditional Indian attire, the faces of Amrita students beamed with pride and joy as they clicked pictures and waited to receive their degree at the grand annual ceremony. Key stakeholders from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham including Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham; Poojya Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri, Member, Board of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Dr. V. Jayakumar, Principal, Amrita School of Engineering and Computing, Chennai was also present during the ceremony. Dr. Vinata Sai, Chairperson, Department of Science and Humanities concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
