We’re thrilled to share highlights of Campus Research Day held on 03 June 2025 at our Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus!
Aligned with Chancellor AMMA’s vision, Campus Research Day brought together distinguished academicians, faculty members research scholars to engage in impactful knowledge exchange and spark innovative future research directions. Dynamic keynote sessions and reverse knowledge transfer on strategic research and innovation were among the key highlights of the event.
Inauguration ceremony set the pace with a Welcome Address by Dr. V. Jayakumar, Principal, Amrita School of Engineering & Computing, Chennai and Benedictory Address by Sampoojya Swami Vinayamritananda Puri, Administrative Director, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai campus. The event was honored by the presence of Prof. R. I. Sujith, Institute Professor and D. Srinivasan Institute Chair Professor at IIT Madras, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. S. A. Lakshmanan, Head of the Research Cell, concluded the ceremony with a Vote of Thanks.
The first keynote session was delivered by Prof. R. I. Sujith, on the theme “Effective Proposal Writing for Research Funding.” Sir’s insightful presentation equipped with strategies to develop compelling project proposals.
The second keynote was presented by Prof. Bruce D. Malamud, Durham University UK. He spoke on “Using AI Ethically in Research and Manuscript Writing”, offering global perspectives on AI practices and ethical challenges in publishing. Mr. Suresh Warrier, Senior Manager, Amrita TBI, delivered the final keynote session.
The day featured three Reverse KT sessions about Strategic Research Hubs & Centres, Innovation & Impact for Society, and Amrita Research & Innovation Ecosystem by Amrita Chenni campus faculty members.
The event concluded with Research Awards recognizing the exceptional contributions of faculty in advancing research.
