Amrita School of Biotechnology is committed to offer advanced pedagogical and hands-on training in the biological sciences that is, indeed, your stepping stone to success and your calling card to a brilliant future on the world stage. “Well begun is half done”, observed the Greek philosopher Aristotle. In consonance with this calling, our graduating students who confidently step out through the portals of our School have consistently been hired into premier research institutions or pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.

Amrita School of Biotechnology provide opportunities for students to gain experience in their discipline, determine if they have an interest in a particular career, and create a network of contacts. And here at ASBT, Internships are given due importance and also included as part of the curriculum for the final semester PG students. Every Masters student is required to undergo a dissertation/thesis work. The project work must take place continuously for a minimum of six months. Ten credits are awarded for this essential requirement of the M.Sc. programme.

The major companies and institutions that have taken student for internships have been NCBS, IISC, TIFR, IITs, RANBAXY, PIRAMAL, BIOCON, IISER, AGILENT, MONSANTO, inSTEM, C-CAMP, Dr.REDDY’S, CELLWORKS, GOVT. UNIVERSITIES to name a few. Such industrial/academic activity provides students with adequate exposure in tackling real life problems encountered in the working of an industrial entity.
