The alumni meet of the Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi, was held at the campus on October 17, 2018. The event witnessed the gathering of both present students and alumni of B. Pharm., Pharm. D. and M. Pharm. who shared their memorable experiences and thoughts.
In connection with the Navarathri festival, a Saraswati Pooja was organized at Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi, on October 10, 2018, the first day of Navarathri.
The Department of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, organized ‘Omkara’, its annual cultural fest, on October 17, 2018, in which the students competed with each other proving their talents in singing, dancing, mime, theatre, etc.

Highlighting the need to have spirituality in daily life, Dr. Sivakumar V., Faculty & Coordinator in Research/Genomics, Department of Health System Research, Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi, delivered a talk titled “Psycho-Spiritual Model of Reality and its Healing Potential”, at the 10th annual conference of Science and Non Duality (SAND18 US) from October 24-28, 2018, held at San Jose, California, USA.
Dr. Rejikumar G., Associate Professor, School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, delivered a keynote address in the International Conference on ‘Paradigm Shift towards Cloud Banking’.
The students of the Department of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus, took part in an event conducted by Kerala Management Association (KMA), that officially announced the kick off for 2018-19 activities of KMA.
Dr. Y. Sita Manasvi and Dr. Sreelakshmi V. Menon, first-year postgraduate trainees from the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi, won the best poster award at the First Zonal Conference (South) of Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (IACDE) held at Chennai from August 10 – 11, 2018.
Dr. Nisha Bhavani, Professor, Department of Endocrinology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, received the prestigious Dr. Eapen Samuel Memorial Award for the year 2017-18, instituted by the IMA Academy of Medical Specialities, Kerala State Chapter.
