On February 4, 2019, Dr. Shyam Diwakar, from the Centre for Computational Neuroscience and Neurophysiology, School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, met with the University of Milan La Statale’s Rector, Prof. Elio Franzini and had a discussion on augmenting joint possibilities with both Universities.
Dr. Swathy S. and Dr. Jwala Jayaram, second year PG scholars from the Department of Shalya Tantra, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, have won first and second prize respectively for presenting scientific papers at the SAMMOHAN 2019 National Seminar and Hands-on Training of Regional and General Anaesthesia held at the Parul University, Vadodara, from February 7-8, 2019.
Dr. Vandana K. Vasudevan, third year PG Scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, won first prize for presenting scientific paper at “Conclave on Cancer Care and Research: Developing a Roadmap” jointly organized by Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA), Amrita School of Ayurveda and Indian Association for the Study of Traditional Medicine (IASTAM) from February 15-17, 2019 at Amrita institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, Kerala.
Dr. Vandana K. Vasudevan, third year PG Scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, won first prize for presenting scientific paper at “Prajnanam 2019” – National Seminar on Management of Infertility in Ayurveda, organised by Amrita School of Ayurveda from February 1-2, 2019.
Dravyamritam is an annual program organized by the Department of Dravyaguna to generate interest among students about the subject Dravyaguna Vijnana.
Dravya Prabodhini, a series of monthly educational programs organized by the Department of Dravyaguna, Amrita School of Ayurveda, covers a wide range of interesting activities like guest lectures, field trips to gather deep knowledge about the subject and knowledge sharing sessions with eminent scholars from allied sciences.
‘Bhoomikkoru oushadhakkuda’, a public event to promote the conservation and cultivation of medicinal plants, was organized by the Department of Dravyaguna, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, in co-ordination with the Kulasekharapuram Agricultural office on December 27, 2018.
Dr. Vandana K. Vasudevan third year PG Scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, won first prize for poster presentation at the “8th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo” organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation and Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India, conducted at Gujarat University Convention and exhibition Centre, Ahmedabad from December 14-17, 2018.
Dr. P. Rammanohar, Research Director of Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ĀCĀRA), Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri and faculty member of Integrative Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, visited Moscow from December 2-10, 2018.
Dr. Ram Manohar, Director of Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda and Principal Investigator of Indo-Italy Project relating Amrita’s cooperation with Università degli Studi di Milano (UNIMI), visited collaborators of Amrita in Italy.
