Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and University of Milan has jointly received funding from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Ministero Degli Affari Esterie Della Cooperazione Internazionale, Italy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italy) for researcher exchange program for a duration of three years from 2017- 2019.
Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, Amritapuri Campus, was an invited speaker at the 19th International Ayurveda Symposium held at Birstein, Germany from 8th to 10th of September, 2017.
The women’s Chess team of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus won the runner-up trophy at the Inter Amrita Chess Championship, Coimbatore Campus from September 14-16, 2017.

Amrita Samyogam 2017, an International Conference on Integrative Ayurveda and Modern Medicine was held at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, on August 6-7. 2017. The conference was attended by more than 1000 delegates representing Ayurveda, Modern Medicine and Modern Science.
As a part of the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), Dr. Kalamandalam Rachita Ravi performed at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, on 15th June 2017, from 6 pm to 8 pm.SPIC MACAY, a nationwide voluntary movement, organises programmes of classical music and dance, folk arts, crafts, yoga, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, etc., at schools and colleges, throughout the world, so as to make the students aware about Indian and World Heritage.
