Nationwide Launch of Unique eLearning Programme OLabs

Amrita OLabs (Online Labs)- an educational technology initiative is launched nationwide. Amrita OLabs which has been developed by Amrita CREATE, an educational technology research initiative of Amrita University, in association with CDAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing). This e-learning program enables high school students to perform virtual science-lab experiments online. Under this nationwide initiative, 30,000 teachers across all states in India will be provided free training to teach students how to use OLabs. This will be hosted on the National Knowledge Network (NKN) to support its scaling to millions of students across the country.

Prof. Prema Nedungadi was invited as a Distinguished Panelist in the Plenary Session- Learning and Leading with Technology at the 4th Edition of International Conference of School Principals 2015 (ICSP 2015) on December 3, 2015 at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. 

IT Minister presents Digital India Award to AmritaCREATE Labs

On Good Governance Day, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, awarded Prof. Prema Nedungadi, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and Dr. Sasikumar, CDAC Mumbai, with certificates of recognition for the nationwide rollout of Online Labs for School Experiments.
