National Accreditation Board For Testing And Calibration Laboratories

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences has been granted NABL accreditation for all its laboratories.

NABL is a Constituent Board of Quality Council of India. NABL has been established with the objective to provide Government, Industry Associations and Industry in general with a scheme for third-party assessment of the quality and technical competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

National Accreditation Board For Hospitals And Health Care Providers

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences has been granted NABH accreditation. Amrita is the first university teaching hospital to get NABH accreditation in the country.National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organizations and to set benchmarks for progress of health industry.

National Assessment And Accreditation Council

An autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was the youngest institution to be awarded with an ‘A++’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body established in 1994 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. To be eligible to apply for the NAAC accreditation, an educational institution should have completed five years. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham had just completed six years in January 2009 when it applied for the accreditation. ‘A++’ is the highest grade that can be awarded to the best-in-class institutions for higher learning

International Organization for Standardization(ISO) has accredited Amrita Healthsciences campus at Kochi with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:2007

Swacch Campus Rankings

Ministry of Human Resource Development

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus has been awarded the Number One Rank in the ‘Technical Institutions’ category in the Swachhta Rankings 2017 & 2018 released by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

This ranking is based on a sustainability audit focusing on campus greenery, cleanliness and maintenance, toilet adequacy in campus, tree planting and community outreach in promoting Swachh culture.

Kerala State Pollution Control Board

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus & Healthsciences Campus at Kochi are consecutively being receiving the Excellence Award instituted by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB). Amrita Hospital has been receving the award consecutively since 2015 and Amritapuri Campus since 2017.

The award instituted by the state government of Kerala for different categories of institutions for the best practices in pollution control, effective management to control air and water pollution, energy and water conservation and protection of environment is given to coincide with World Environment Day.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Technology Business Incubator (TBI) has won the National Award for being the best Technology Business Incubator in the country from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, on 11th May 2017 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

Amrita TBI is one of the only six incubators selected to be made world-class under NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). According to NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, the objective is to transform the startup ecosystem in India by providing financial scale-up support to these six “rarest of the rare” incubators and upgrade them to global standards. Each of these will receive $1.4 Mn (INR 10 crore) over a span of two years to provide state-of-the-art facilities to the incubated startups.
