Abstract : Geomorphology is the study of changes in land surfaces, properties, and formations of landforms. Numerous techniques are available for detecting and mapping geomorphological characteristics. This chapter used geospatial techniques to understand the geomorphological characteristics of the Raichur district in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Various datasets from multiple agencies, such as NASA, the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the Geological Survey of India, and the India Meteorological Department, were used for the study. The results from each parameter were assessed along with their relative implications to the geomorphological features of the district. The land use/cover change analysis indicates that the anthropogenic conversion has increased between the study periods. Overall, this chapter provides a practical way to know the geomorphological aspects of the Raichur district, which will help better manage land features.
