Dr. Pratish Kumar Tyagi is a seasoned public health professional with a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, including 23 years of service in the Indian Army followed by academic roles across reputed private and government medical institutions. His expertise in Community Medicine is extensive, encompassing epidemiology, health education, health delivery initiatives, vaccine trials, disease prevention, and public health research.
With over 17 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor, Dr. Tyagi has contributed significantly to medical education and curriculum implementation. He has served as a member of curriculum committees in various medical colleges and continues to play an active role in academic development.
Dr. Tyagi has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in multiple research projects and vaccine trials. He has several publications in reputed national and international journals, reflecting his strong commitment to evidence-based public health practice.
He has extensive experience in planning and executing community health programs, including immunization drives, health camps, outreach activities, and health awareness campaigns. His work has directly supported community-level disease prevention and health promotion initiatives.
During his tenure in the Indian Army, he held key administrative and leadership positions, including Deputy Assistant Director Health for 12 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as the Logistics Officer and Nodal Officer for oxygen management at GIMS, Greater Noida, demonstrating exemplary crisis-management capabilities. He currently serves as the Nodal Officer for Tuberculosis at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad.
