Amrita CREATE’s Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) was officially launched in July 2025 across Amrita Vidyalayam schools in Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Belgaum, marking a significant advancement in strengthening English communication skills for early learners. As part of this multi-centre rollout, over 45 teachers were trained through intensive hands-on workshops that emphasized ALP pedagogy, phonics instruction, leveled reading methods, use of digital tools, and structured classroom delivery. The training equipped educators with the practical knowledge and confidence required to implement the program with consistency and quality across all three campuses.
A major highlight of the launch was the successful establishment of six fully functional ALP learning centres at each school. These centres were carefully designed to provide an enriching and student-friendly environment, complete with dedicated library corners, leveled reading materials, phonics resources, and visual learning aids. Additionally, each centre has been equipped with the necessary supporting digital and organizational systems to ensure smooth operation and effective monitoring of student progress. The well-planned room setup reflects the commitment to creating structured, purposeful spaces that align with the ALP framework.
Following the completion of training and centre setup, ALP classes commenced simultaneously across all three locations. Teachers reported a highly positive start, with students displaying enthusiasm and active participation from the very first week. Early observations indicate encouraging progress in areas such as reading readiness, phonetic awareness, vocabulary development, spoken English skills, and overall classroom engagement. The coordinated effort across Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Belgaum has ensured a uniform and impactful introduction of the ALP program.
The successful implementation across these campuses demonstrates the strength of collaborative planning, teacher preparedness, and system-level support. With well-trained educators, fully equipped centres, and a structured teaching methodology, the ALP program is poised to bring substantial, long-term improvements in student communication skills in the months supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education).
