Abstract : As the current world is inclined towards sustainability, steps are being taken to create an eco-friendly environment. Integration of several renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydro-power has grown into momentum. The application of energy storage and conversion devices such as batteries and converters play a vital role in the generation and storage of electricity. The efficiency of storage devices such as Li-Ion Batteries can be improved by constantly monitoring and regulating parameters such as the State of Charge (SOC), and temperature of the battery pack. Solar-powered electric vehicles (SPEVs) have emerged as an essential weapon to achieve these goals, providing emission-free mobility fueled by renewable energy sources. With this frame of mind, the optimal performance and longevity of solar-powered Electric Vehicles must be ensured, as they must be operated and maintained in real time, monitoring a variety of parameters. The proposed system has been specifically developed for this aspect through the integration of the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) module and other sensor technologies to monitor key parameters such as battery status, vehicle temperature, etc., Through the comprehensive collection of the parameters data, and processing them. Remote transmission to a centralized monitoring station enables the vehicle operators, maintenance personnel, and regulatory authorities to access critical information regarding the SPEV’s performance and operation irrespective of its location in real time. This study contributes to the ongoing efforts to improve smart transportation systems and achieve a cleaner, greener future.
