Abstract : In this modern era, the universal requirement for compact handheld communication devices has increased rapidly. Devices with internal antennas have emerged to cater to this necessity of device miniaturization. One of the major factors is Antenna size that limits the production of efficient small devices. Over the past few years, various designs based on the Micro Strip Patch Antennas (MSPA) have come to the face for handheld wireless devices because these antennas can be embedded into the devices and have low-profile geometry. Basically, antenna performance can be degraded by lowering the antenna size. Therefore, the fundamental limits and parameter trade-offs involved in size reduction needs to be examined. In the handheld devices, antennas are positioned on a small ground plane. This paper represents the performance and systematic analysis of H shape Micro Strip Patch Antenna, by using FR4 dielectric substrate material, to operate in the frequency range of 0.6 GHz to 2 GHz. A systematic parametric analysis has been implemented using HFSS software to optimize the bandwidth of the proposed antenna. Finally, this paper objective is to maximize gain and to broaden the impedance bandwidth, which in therefore will improve the antenna performance.
