Abstract : In recent days text summarization had tremendous growth in all languages, especially in India regional languages. Yet the performance of such system needs improvement. This paper proposes an extractive Malayalam summarizer which reduces redundancy in summarized content and meaning of sentences are considered for summary generation. A semantic graph is created for entire document and summary generated by reducing graph using minimal spanning tree algorithm.
