Abstract : Addressing the growing energy demand, this study proposes a novel shift phase current control (NSPCC) and battery energy management system (BEMS) to provide complete automation in power transfer. The BEMS provides excellent power transfer capability by facilitating better battery charging or discharging operation of the battery during the presence or absence of PV. To extract maximum power widely accepted perturb and observe based tracking methods are used, which is further tracked by the proposed BEMS. In addition to that, the battery dynamics is improved by properly monitoring the state of charge (SOC) by BEMS. Moreover, the proposed NSPCC is also applicable to improve the power quality (PQ) of the combined DC-AC microgrid system by segregating the balanced and oscillating constraints. The significance of the NSPCC and BEMS controller is confirmed in both software and HIL platform by comparing with the traditional double decoupled synchronous frame method. These results conform to international IEEE 519 standards, validating the combined NSPCC and BEMS role in enhancing HMG performance.
