Abstract : The current thinking on calculations necessary by Internet of Things (IoT) programs is changing toward fog computing rather than cloud computing, allowing IoT devices to do the majority of their calculations at the network edge. This paper mainly focused on transforming a traditional farm into a contemporary farm with numerous automated features. The data that are collected from the sensors must be correct and arrive at the destination in a timely manner so that the decision can be made, this can be done by using fog computing. FPMS:Fog Based Poultry Monitoring System is to build an IoT-based System which includes IoT components along with the task offloading in the cloud server. Several sensors like temperature, humidity, air quality, fire, alcohol, methane, carbon monoxide and Lpg are used to read the values and upload the information to the cloud using an Arduino Nano and an ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module. When the values are high in temperature and humidity, if any harmful gases and fire present then the alert message will be sent to the owner. This monitoring process and sending alerts to the owner will help to keep a watch on the farm and maintain the health of the chicken.
