Abstract : Automobiles have contributed tremendously to the increased demand for smart city initiatives. Traffic congestion monitoring has become an important issue in recent years due to the rapid growth of automobiles. it has caused wastage of resources, caused property damage, and polluted the environment, but most importantly, it has caused many lives to be lost that could have been saved if the Emergency Vehicles (evs) had arrived in time. There is traffic congestion every day. Often, evs like fire patrol vehicles, ambulances and police patrol get stuck in traffic during a crisis, which can lead to human fatalities. SPEVMS: Smart and Prioritised Emergency Vehicle Management System, addresses both traffic safety and the problems of Emergency Vehicles. A new methodology is also proposed to help them reach their destinations using VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork), and simulations without time lag or delays. The methodology in SPEVMS also assists in prioritizing the emergency vehicles according to the level of the emergency. In addition, it helps transport Emergency Vehicles to their destinations without affecting the movement of other non-emergency vehicles.
