Abstract : A dual-axis solar tracking system that is optimized for effective energy harvesting in urban settings is designed and developed in this paper. Two servo motors are used in the system to control the orientation of the solar panel along both the horizontal and vertical axes. Four LDR sensors are processed by an Arduino-based controller, which continuously tracks and aligns the panel in the direction of the strongest sunlight. An ultrasonic sensor for real-time obstacle detection is integrated to guarantee safe operation, allowing for intelligent path adjustment to avoid obstacles. Reliable light tracking, efficient collision avoidance, and enhanced solar energy harvesting are all demonstrated by the experimental results. In dynamic or limited environments, the suggested system provides a small, affordable way to maximize photovoltaic performance.
