Abstract : This paper presents the design and performance analysis of a microstrip patch antenna, a patch antenna with H-Slot, and another patch antenna with 1×4 array aimed at improving gain and enabling beam steering. The forementioned designs were simulated and analysed using CST Studio Suite. The patch antenna with 1×4 array, with optimized inter-element spacing and 90° progressive phase shift, achieved a peak gain of 13.4 dBi and demonstrated effective beam steering from 2° to 13° with a bandwidth of 40GHz from in the range [220-260GHz]. The H- slotted patch showed enhanced gain of 5.29 dBi compared to the conventional patch. The results highlight the antenna's suitability for modern wireless applications requiring high directivity and directional control.
