Abstract : The objective of the work is to achieve a compact 2×2 MIMO WLAN antenna designed for mobile applications, with dimensions of 28.5×28.5 mm. The antenna operates at dual frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, offering bandwidths of 31.4 MHz and 100 MHz, respectively. The design features a circle inscribed within two square outer patches of different dimensions, optimizing end-fire radiation characteristics. It reaches a maximum gain of 3.097 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 2.749 dBi at 5.8 GHz, for isolation values exceeding 30 dB at 2.4 GHz and 20 dB at 5.8 GHz with minimal interference between antenna elements. Compact size and efficient performance make it suitable for modern mobile devices requiring robust dual-band connectivity through MIMO technology.
