Abstract : Older and visually impaired persons tend to have difficulty with taking medication on time, and this poses health threats. Here, a mobile smart pill dispenser is proposed to enhance medication compliance through autonomous pill delivery at predetermined times. The device offers voice and vibration notifications, which are suitable for users with sensory disabilities. Based on a small robotic platform, it features a programmable dispensing module and an easy-to-use scheduling interface for remote access. Experimental outcome exhibits high accuracy of pill delivery and user satisfaction, indicating a viable solution for home healthcare assistance © 2025 IEEE.
