Abstract : Two-dimensional (2D) material graphene and its analogs are receiving wider attention due to its fascinating properties, like high mechanical, thermal, electronic, optical, and optoelectronic characteristics. These advantages make them excellent materials for various industrial applications, but the bulk production, inconsistency in structural properties with processing parameters, cost, etc., are considered the major concerns. Hence, to ensure the effective utilization of graphene in various industries, a better understanding of synthesis, properties, and applications is essential. This chapter will provide an overall idea about graphene, its properties, and applications. This chapter gives a glimpse of the book, where history, structure, properties, and possible industrialization are well discussed, thus pointing to the possibility of lab-to-fab conversion of graphene and its products, making graphene useful for mankind. Thus, the chapter points to the myriads of applications that researchers, academicians, scientists, engineers, and industrialists can utilize to help them in their journey of commercialization of graphene and its products.
