Abstract : MIM plasmonic waveguides are considered in proposed work, due to their ability of confining the surface plasmons to deep subwavelength scale or beyond diffraction limit. By cascading various MIM waveguides Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) is designed which has been used to design all-optical 3 × 8 line decoder. To attain the nonlinearity Kerr material has been used. The proposed device is studied and analyzed using finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD) method and MATLAB simulations.
