The Diploma in Ayurveda Pharmacy is a comprehensive programme designed to equip learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to function effectively as Ayurveda pharmacists in clinical, hospital, and community settings. The curriculum is structured into modules covering fundamental concepts such as Moulika Vijnana (basic principles of Ayurveda), anatomy and physiology, Dravyaguna Vijnanam (pharmacology), Nirmana Vijnana (Ayurvedic pharmaceutics), pharmacotherapeutics, community and hospital pharmacy, and social pharmacy, along with law and ethics. It provides in-depth understanding of topics including Tridosha, Dhatus, Srotas, drug identification, collection, standardisation, pharmacognosy, formulation techniques, quality control, and safe dispensing practices. Emphasis is placed on hands-on training in drug preparation, packaging, sterilisation, laboratoiy testing, and handling of medical aids, ensuring competency in real-world pharmacy operations.
Duration of Course: 1 Year & 8 Months
The course shall comprise 1 year & 6 months of academic training, followed by a compulsory internship of 2 months at the same institution in which the candidate is undergoing the course, after successful completion of the examination.
