Abstract : In this paper, we describe a new hybrid encryption system that uses Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to achieve enhanced security and performance in data encryption. The described security framework implements ECC together with AES to deliver both enhanced protection and improved performance for data encryption operations. ECC serves as an RSA replacement due to its ability to deliver equivalent security by using smaller key parameters that reduce operational processing needs. AES provides the system with fast and secure data encryption through its implementation alongside the symmetric encryption algorithm. The system performs key exchange with ECC but opts for AES to secure bulk data transmission. The combination of ECC and AES encryption technologies enables efficient processing and reduced resource consumption, which preserves the equivalent security qualities of individual encryption protocols. The hybrid encryption technique provides optimal benefits to systems operating with limited resources, such as mobile technology applications and implantable systems along with cloud-based communication platforms that require quick data processing. Monitoring data from experimental testing reveal that hybrid ECC-AES encryption offers superior performance than conventional RSA encryption for speed of encryption and decryption and complete system efficiency. The recorded performance results show substantial encryption progression that provides superior processing latency benefits while maintaining the cryptographic security level. The results show that the ECC algorithm with the AES algorithm enables the development of secure yet high-speed cryptographic data transmission systems.
