Abstract : This paper presents the development of an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) campus tour for the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), seamlessly combining geospatial data with real-time 3D visualization. By leveraging Blender-GIS for terrain modeling and architectural reconstruction, and integrating the resulting 3D environment into Unity with Oculus SDK, the system delivers a highly interactive experience on Meta Quest 3 headsets. Real-world satellite imagery, digital elevation models, and OpenStreetMap data ensure geographic and structural accuracy. The virtual tour enables users to explore the IIST campus in an intuitive and realistic manner, supporting virtual navigation. Comprehensive performance evaluations demonstrate smooth rendering, responsive interaction, and strong user engagement, confirming the effectiveness and usability of the system.
