Abstract : Cancer poses the highest clinical, social, and economic burden in terms of cause-specific disability-adjusted life years. Between 30% and 50% of these cancers can currently be prevented by avoiding risk factors and implementing existing evidence-based prevention strategies. The 6th Amrita International Public Health Conference centered around the theme of “Advancing Public Health Strategies for Cancer Control.” It was a holistic approach toward discussing explicit stratagems for cancer control. The objective of this study is to document the important discussions in the trends of cancer epidemiology with a special focus on molecular epidemiology and digital technologies for screening. A model for improving the accessibility and affordability of cancer care in India is also highlighted by experts.
