Introduction

This course introduces the fundamentals of C programming through hands-on laboratory practice. Topics include the basic data types, operators, control structures, arrays, functions, pointers, structures, unions, file handling, and command line arguments. Each lab session reinforces classroom concepts by enabling students to develop, test, and debug structured and modular programs. By the end of the course, students gain practical experience in writing efficient C programs and handling real-world data using files and memory-optimized constructs.

Objectives and Outcomes

Course Outcomes (COs) On completing this course, students will be able to:

CO1 Understand the basic data types, variables, operators, and formatted I/O functions in C programming.
CO2 Apply decision making and looping statements to control program flow and solve basic computational problems.
CO3 Develop programs using arrays, strings, and functions for data handling and reuse.
CO4 Analyze problems and design recursive solutions to represent grouped data using structures and unions.
CO5 Build file-handling programs to create, read, write, and modify records.j
