Amrita Centre for Food Nutrition and Integrated Research (ACFNIR)

The Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, focuses on interdisciplinary teaching, research, and innovation in food science, nutrition, and allied sciences. A major research and innovation initiative of the department is the Amrita Centre for Food Nutrition and Integrated Research (ACFNIR), which serves as an integrated platform for advanced research. Food Science and Technology: Research on food processing, preservation, product development, food quality, safety, and value addition of conventional and emerging food resources.2. The facility is equipped with advanced RF and microwave testing, material characterization, and PCB prototyping systems, supporting measurements from 800 MHz up to 67 GHz, extendable to 110 GHz, with comprehensive capabilities for solid/liquid dielectric characterization and high-frequency PCB prototyping. Advanced Equipments: N5227B PNA Microwave Network Analyzer: Operating frequency range 10 MHz 67 GHz, RF and Microwave PCB Prototyping Machine: LPKF ProtoMat S104, being installed.
