Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) – Doctoral Research Topic

About the Project

Our research interest is focused on the exciting area of discovering innovative alternate approaches to combat the global health crises of Antimicrobial Resistance. This includes diverse strategies ranging from CRISPR-Cas mediated reversal of AMR, employing anti-Quorum Sensing Natural Products to attenuate virulence, Bacteriophages, combinatorial therapies and more. Understanding host-pathogen interactions and the dynamics between AMR, virulence and phage resistance are also areas of interest. We are also looking into using Artificial Intelligence (AI) mediated approaches to study problems related to AMR.
