There are a set of PhD projects. They aim to develop an anion exchange membrane, high surface area, electrochemical reactor for water electrolysis to produce hydrogen and oxygen. Among the challenges include developing novel catalysts for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions, protocols for coating of the catalysts to develop high-surface-area electrodes, fabricate the reactor, optimize and validate the reactor performance.
