Visvesvaraya scholarship for Amrita PhD students
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to full-time Ph.D program under “Visvesvaraya Ph.D scheme” MeitY, GoI
Eligibility
- For PhD Scholars holding a Master’s degree in ME, M. Tech. MS by Research are eligible to apply for admission
- Engineering candidates can seek admission after a 4 year/ 8 semester Bachelor’s degree.
Admission procedure
- Candidates will need to apply in Amrita PhD Admissions Portal before the notified last date
- Selected candidates will be called for written test and/or interview.
- Preference given for those with valid GATE Score or UGC / CSIR-NET

Duration and Fellowship
- Duration of scheme would be for a period of five years for the purposes of selecting candidates for support under the scheme.
- Rs. 38,750/- per month (I & II years) & Rs. 43,750/- per month (III to V years)
