The 14th Graduation Day of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, was held at the campus on 26th August, 2017. 1725 students from the disciplines of engineering, business, arts & sciences, mass communication and social work received their degrees. This included 15 PhDs, and 50 medalists and rank-holders.

The Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore, conducted the first phase of the Alumni Boot Camp for the second year students, on August 12-13, 2017. Forty-eight alumni across various batches took part in the Boot Camp and gave their input to the second year students.
The AmritaCREATE Team of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, is one of eight semifinalists advancing in the $7 million Barbara Bush Foundation Adult Literacy XPRIZE presented by Dollar General Literacy Foundation. The Adult Literacy XPRIZE is a global competition, challenging teams to develop a mobile application for existing smart devices that results in the greatest increase in literacy skills among participating adult learners.
Dr. Geoff Perry, a Prominent Person in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Chancellor of Auckland University, New Zealand gave a guest lecture a Sri Krishna Hall of Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore on August 7, 2017.
