Abhijith Balachandran is a PhD candidate at the Mind Brain Center, Amritapuri, with a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. His research focuses on the convergence of technology and human experience, with particular emphasis on Extended Reality (XR), Biomechanics, and Kinesiology. His doctoral work explores the application of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), education, and cognitive science, aiming to enhance immersive learning experiences and transform conventional educational approaches. He is also involved in developing cost-effective technologies for human gait analysis to improve healthcare and rehabilitation.
