Course

This course introduces students to the foundational stages of social work research. Students will identify a research problem, conduct a systematic review of literature, and develop a rigorous research design under continuous faculty supervision. Emphasis is placed on conceptual clarity, theoretical grounding, and formulation of research questions relevant to social work practice.

Course Objectives

1. To enable students to identify and justify a research problem in social work.
2. To develop skills in reviewing and synthesizing scholarly literature.
3. To guide students in formulating research questions, objectives, and hypotheses.
4. To introduce theoretical and conceptual frameworks for social work research.
