Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has launched a unique initiative for Grade 11th and 12th students aspiring to excel in competitive exams like AEEE, JEE, and NEET. Organized by the Directorate of Admissions and Academic Outreach, a series of free online sessions designed to build problem-solving skills will be offered to engineering aspirants, and also Entrance Practice Tests, divided into Engineering Entrance Practice Tests (for AEEE and JEE aspirants) and Medical Entrance Practice Tests (for NEET aspirants) are offered. These initiatives aim to help students secure admissions to Amrita University and premier institutions such as IITs, NITs, and top medical colleges.

The program is divided into two sessions: 

  • STEM Surge: Engineering Problem Solving Workshop
  • Entrance Practice Tests – Engineering and Medical

Entrance Practice Tests

Students can log in to the Entrance Practice Test portal (Engineering / Medical) to test their abilities in cracking the exams, questions are provided based on previous year papers.  The students are encouraged to make a commitment to practice regularly and self-assess their performance, along with their peers. These tests help the students to get familiar with the exam pattern and time management, stay focused, discover, and adapt to the strategies that help them to perform better.

The Engineering Entrance Practice Test is conducted online every Sunday at 4 pm and the Medical Entrance Practice Test is conducted online every Saturday at 4 pm.

STEM Surge : Engineering Problem Solving Workshops

Helmed by the best expert faculty of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, these free online sessions are conducted periodically, where students can discuss, interact and get their doubts clarified on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. These live sessions will bring forth the most imperative topics in all three subjects, frequently asked questions from the previous year’s question papers, and also various methods for solving the toughest, ambiguous subject matters.

The faculty would also lay emphasis on time management, tips to crack the exam, and identifying the right answers in a jiffy. Most importantly, the students would be counselled to stay calm and focussed while giving their exams for better performance and ranking.

Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) 

AEEE is a prestigious, pan-India entrance exam conducted for engineering aspirants to get admission into Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. This objective-type exam is based on three core subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Exams are conducted offline in various centers across the country, and qualified students will be guided through the admission process.

About AEEE 

Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2026 is the national-level computer-based test for B.Tech admissions to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, conducted in two phases, typically in February and May 2026, with applications opening around October–November 2025. Eligible candidates in Class 12 or equivalent can apply, book exam slots, download hall tickets, sit for the CBT, and participate in online CSAP counselling based on results; admission is also open via JEE Main percentile, and candidates may apply through both routes. The exam is for about 2.5 hours in English, with questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Quantitative Aptitude in MCQ format, and is held across more than 100 cities. 

AEEE Exam Pattern 

  • Duration: 150 Minutes (2.5 Hours) 
  • Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT) held at various cities across the country. 

    Subjects 
  • Mathematics: 40 questions 
  • Physics: 25 questions 
  • Chemistry: 20 questions 
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 10 questions 
  • English: 5 questions 
  • Total Questions: 100 
  •  Marks: Each correct answer carries 3 marks; each wrong answer carries a penalty of −1(minus one) mark. 

Educational Qualification 

A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with at least 50% in each of these subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) individually. 

Candidates appearing in any one of the following examinations are eligible to secure admission in B.Tech at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham:

  • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central / State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) or any other Board accepted by Amrita as equivalent to 10+2 examination. 
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board or University. 
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. 
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. 
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board.
