The Department of Chemistry, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, conducted an invited talk on the “Importance of Youth Empowerment in the Current Scenario” on August 12, 2014. The session was carried out by Mr. Sivanandan of Centre for Spiritual Studies, Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus. The participants were the students and faculty from different departments of Amrita Schools of Engineering and Arts & Sciences.

The importance of youth empowerment and the vision of Vivekananda about youth were discussed. The session was done as an interactive one and the attendees really take up the topic in a very enthusiastic way.
