In connection with Polycystic Ovaraian Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness month- September 2021, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing and Third-year B. S. Nursing (17th batch) of the Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi, organized a virtual awareness program for the first and second year B.Sc Nursing students on September 24, 2021, from 2 PM to 3 PM through Microsoft Teams.
The core aspects of the program were an awareness session on PCOS, lived-in experience sharing of students with PCOS, video presentation on lifestyle modification on PCOS. Around 160 B.Sc Nursing students and eight faculty participated in the session. B.Sc Nursing students were the beneficiaries of the program.
The faculty in charge of the awareness program were Anju Philip T. (Associate Professor, Obstetrics and Gynaecologic Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi), Monisha U. (Lecturer, Obstetrics and Gynaecologic Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi) and Sabitha V Janardhanan (Lecturer, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi).
