Ms. Saudamini Siegrist, Former Senior Advisor Child Protection in Emergencies, UNICEF, delivered a talk at the seminar on “Reconcile Conflict and Sustain Peace” on January 10, 2020, at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus.

Researchers, Ph.D. students, Faculty, and deployment staff from AMMACHI Labs, Center for Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality and Master of Social Work, Amritapuri, participated in this interactive session to gain more insight into international laws and treaties for child rights.
Saudamini Siegrist served as Senior Adviser for Child Protection in Emergencies at UNICEF from 2012-2017 and previously served as Chief of Child Protection for UNICEF in the State of Palestine and as Child Protection Specialist at the UNICEF Innocenti Research Center. She also worked in the Humanitarian Policy Unit of Emergency Operations at UNICEF on issues related to children and armed conflict, international criminal justice, and monitoring and reporting of grave violations against children.
