The Department of Computer Science & I.T. of Amrita School of Arts & Sciences, Kochi  is organizing a two day Hands-on Workshop on Data Analysis Using Weka and Bioinformatics Solution using R from January 30 -31, 2015 .

Most of the research domains use the systematic and objective process of gathering, recording and analyzing data for decision making. Data Mining helps to deal with the study, analysis, scientic investigation, validity and reliability of the ndings. The data mining tasks in engineering are made easier with the help of the open source tools. The focus of this workshop is to provide an overview of data mining and its research challenges, application of data analysis in the eld of Bioinformatics and visualization techniques used in various domains. This hands-on workshop provides a platform for the participants to explore tools like Weka and R in detail.
