He is expertise with various radiation oncology treatment machines such as Varian, ELEKTA, TomotherapyTM and CyberKnifeTM Linear Accelerators and ELEKTA brachytherapy unit. In addition, he got experience with various commercially available treatment planning Systems (TPS) such as EclipseTM (Varian), MonacoTM (ELEKTA), PrecisionTM (Tomotherapy & CyberKnifeTM). He has vast experience in commissioning medical linear Accelerators and treatment planning of various treatment sites. His research interests mainly include in-vivo dosimetry, radiation detector characterisation for megavoltage radiation dosimetry, patient treatment plan verification and treatment planning analysis. He also involve in guiding Part time PhD Students in Medical Physics and involve in teaching MD, DNB (Radiation Oncology) Students, MSc (Medical Physics) students, Radiotherapy Technology students

Dr Manigandan holding his MSc and PhD degree in Medical Physics and awarded fellow of Department of Atomic Energy during his doctoral research. He is a certified radiological Safety Officer (RSO) by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BRAC), Mumbai, India. He also worked as a Senior Demonstrator in All India Institute of Medical Sciences for three years (200-2012) and later employed in Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Punjab and Medanta, The Medicity, Gurgaon, Haryana.
