Bio

Dr. Kamala Kumari Duru is an Assistant Professor (Sr.Gd) at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Amaravati. With 9 years of teaching experience and 20 research publications. She received her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SRM University-AP in 2023. Her doctoral research, titled “Development of an Optimal Safe Charging Approach for Lithium-Ion Cells in E-Mobility Applications,” focused on developing optimal and safe charging strategies for lithium-ion batteries in electric mobility applications.

Her research interests include lithium-ion battery modelling and characterization, optimal and safe charging methods for lithium-ion batteries, and Machine Learning and Deep Learning for battery applications. Her work focuses on battery parameter estimation, Equivalent Circuit Models, SOC/SOH estimation, battery degradation prediction, thermal analysis, and intelligent fast-charging strategies for electric vehicle applications.
