Bio

Dr. Priya D joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Amrita School of Pharmacy, Kochi, Kerala, in January 2026. She obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, and was a recipient of the Women Scientist Grant from the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.

Her research focuses on medicinal chemistry, computer-aided drug design, molecular modelling, and the development of novel therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. As Principal Investigator of a DST-funded project, she led the design and development of novel PPAR-γ agonists with potential neuroprotective applications. She has authored several publications in reputed international journals. She is passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and fostering innovation in pharmaceutical sciences.
