Dr. R. Prerna Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Law, Assistant Controller of Examinations and Academic Coordinator of B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.) at Amrita International School of Law, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.
She holds a Ph.D. in Law, with research focusing on the socio-legal dimensions of dowry prohibition laws in India.
Her academic interests include Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Artificial Intelligence and Law, and socio-legal studies. She has authored a book based on her research in the field of dowry laws, reflecting her commitment to addressing contemporary legal and social issues through evidence-based scholarship.
She has teaching and academic administrative experience across institutions including Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amity University Rajasthan, and Starex University. With teaching and academic administrative experience across leading institutions, Dr. Sharma has published research in reputed journals, presented papers at national and international conferences, contributed to intellectual property initiatives, and coordinated several academic centres and events.
